Barry Furey is a third generation public safety professional, having served as a fire officer in three states and a 9-1-1 executive director in four. He has published two books, contributed to two national reference texts, and authored more than 300 articles in major public safety journals. Having served on or chaired numerous international committees, he is a Contributing Editor for Firehouse Magazine, and a member of the web team at Firefighterclosecalls.com.
